If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!!

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments.  He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.  One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in he looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform.  I'll give you exactly 15 minutes.' The lecture room fell silent.  You could hear a pin drop.

Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am, God.  I'm still waiting.' It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him, knocking him off the platform.  The professor was out cold.

The marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.  The other students were shocked, stunned and sat there looking on in silence.  The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you?  Why did you do that?'  The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting American soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot, so He sent me.'

Pecan Sheller Fights Back Against Thief

Pecan Sheller Fights Back Against Thief

LILLIAN, AL - An elderly business owner fights back when a man tries to rob him at gunpoint.

It happened yesterday morning around eleven at his small business just outside
Lillian, Alabama.

Eighty year old Alex Broussard runs Alex's shelled pecans out of his home... He's been in business for nearly *25 years.

Alex says he works too hard to lose his profits to a crook.

Pecan after pecan is shelled then bagged at Alex Broussard's home based business.

He sells thousands of the nuts every year.

These are the best I've ever shelled.

He sees dozens of customers daily.

Sunday morning he got his first buyer of the day.

Between 20-30 well dressed dark hair, nice looking guy

The man was acting like a regular customer, standing just a couple of feet away from Alex, but then he demanded money. Alex told him the money was over here, so when the man looked away, Alex defended himself.

He turned his head, boy I jabbed him in the A**  HA-HA I used my knife.

The suspect grabbed his behind and ran off.

Man you talk about run, he took off screaming when on down the road don't know how far he went but he was gone.

Alex isn't normally armed, but he used what he could to protect his profits.

I used my knife to shell the pecans and I happened to have it in my hand which I'm glad I did.

Do you feel lucky today, HAHA what do you think, yea I do.

Lucky maybe, but never scared. He says protecting his property was the right thing to do.

The attempted robbery won't stop his business. After investigators left.

He went right back to work.

I hope they catch him, I have no wish for him to be really punished cause he didn't hurt me he was the one who got hurt.

Deputies are still looking for that man.

Alex says he really isn't giving the crime another thought.

He's too busy worrying about his upcoming wedding. He's eighty years old and preparing for his second marriage this weekend.

SAN DESTIN MEETING/HUMOR

I will be meeting in San Destin, Fl. Jan 19-21with all the ministers  who claim me as their spiritual father. I look forward each year to being with my spiritual sons and daughters for reviewing our vision, receiving refreshing with a new challenge and fellowshipping around the Word.

If you have questions regarding any matter your consider important, just email me at: papaken@mchsi.com.

The following humor was sent to me by Apostle Jack Holllis:

I have no idea who put this together, but, it's FANTASTIC!!

Long ago  and far away, in a land that time forgot,
Before the days  of Dylan, or the dawn of Camelot.

There lived a race of  innocents, and they were you and me,

For Ike was  in the White House in that land where we were born,
Where navels were for oranges, and Peyton Place  was porn.

We learned to gut a muffler, we washed our hair at dawn,
We spread our crinolines to dry in circles on the lawn.

We longed for love and  romance, and waited for our Prince,
And Eddie Fisher married Liz, and no one's seen him since.
  ;
We  danced to 'Little Darlin,' and sang to 'Stagger Lee'
And  cried for Buddy Holly in the Land That Made Me
 ,   Me.

Only girls wore earrings then, and 3 was one too many,
And only boys wore flat-top cuts, except for Jean  McKinney.

And only in our wildest dreams did we  expect to see
A boy named George with Lipstick, in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

We fell for Frankie Avalon, Annette was oh, so nice,
And when they made a movie, they never made it twice.

We didn't have a Star Trek Five, or Psycho Two and Three,
Or Rocky-Rambo Twenty in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

Miss Kitty had a heart of  gold, and Chester had a limp,
And Reagan was a Democrat whose co-star was a  chimp.

We had a Mr. Wizard, but not a Mr. T  ,
And Oprah couldn't talk, yet, in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

We had our share of heroes, we never thought they'd go,
At least not Bobby Darin, or Marilyn  Monroe.

For youth was still eternal, and life was yet to be,
And Elvis was forever in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

We'd never seen the rock band that was Grateful to be Dead,
And Airplanes weren't named Jefferson, and Zeppelins were not Led.

And Beatles lived in  gardens then, and Monkees lived in trees,
Madonna was a virgin in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

We'd never heard of microwaves, or telephones in cars,
And babies might be bottle-fed, but they weren't grown in jars.

And pumping iron got wrinkles out, and  'gay' meant fancy-free,
And dorms were never coed in the  Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

We hadn't seen enough of jets to  talk about the lag,
And microchips were what was left at  the bottom of the bag.

And Hardware was a box of nails, and bytes came from a flea,
And rocket ships were  fiction in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

Buicks came  with portholes, and side shows came with freaks,
And  bathing suits came big enough to cover both your cheeks.

And Coke came just in bottles, and skirts  below the knee,
And Castro came to power near the Land That  Made Me
 ,  Me.

We had no Crest with Fluoride, we had  no Hill Street Blues,
We had no patterned pantyhose or Lipton herbal tea
Or prime-time ads  for condoms in the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

There  were no golden arches, no Perrier to chill,
And fish were not called Wanda, and cats were not called Bill.

And middle-aged was 35 and old was  forty-three,
And ancient were our parents in the Land That  Made Me
 ,  Me.

But all things have a season, or so  we've heard them say,
And now instead of Maybelline we swear by Retin-A.

They send us invitations to  join AARP,
We've come a long way, baby, from the Land That  Made Me
 ,  Me.

So now we face a brave new world in  slightly larger jeans,
And wonder why they're using smaller  print in magazines.

And we tell our children's  children of the way it used to be,
Long ago and far away in  the Land That Made Me
 ,  Me.

For those of you. too young to remember Bob Hope,

ask your Grandparents!!! and 'Thanks for the Memories'

I HOPE THIS WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE

AND IN YOUR HEART.

ON TURNING 80 'That's the time of your life when even your birthday suit needs pressing.'

ON TURNING 90 'You know you're getting old when the candles cost more than the cake.'

ON TURNING 100 ' I don't feel old. In fact I don't feel anything until noon .Then it's time  for my nap.'

ON GIVING UP HIS EARLY CAREER, BOXING 'I ruined my hands in the ring ... the referee kept stepping on them.'

ON NEVER WINNING AN OSCAR  'Welcome to the Academy Awards or as it's called at my home, 'Passover'.

ON GOLF 'Golf is my profession. Show business is just to pay the green fees.'

ON PRESIDENTS ' I have performed for 12 presidents and entertained only six.'

ON WHY HE CHOSE SHOWBIZ FOR HIS CAREER ' When I was born, the doctor said to my mother, 'Congratulation.'!! You have an eight-pound ham'.'

ON RECEIVING THE CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL 'I feel very humble, but I think I have the strength of character to fight it.'

ON HIS FAMILY'S EARLY POVERTY  'Four of us slept in the one bed. When it got cold, mother threw on another brother'

ON HIS SIX BROTHERS 'That's how I learned to dance.  Waiting for the bathroom.'

ON HIS EARLY FAILURES ' I would not have had anything to eat if it wasn't for the stuff the audience threw at me.'

ON GOING TO HEAVEN 'I've done benefits for ALL religions. I'd hate to blow the hereafter on a technicality.'

Give me a sense of humor.  Lord,

Give me the grace to see a joke,

To get some humor out of life,

And pass it on to other folks.

HAVE A GOOD DAY by Beka Beccue

There is nothing like a dreadful diagnosis of a horrible disease to put everything in perspective. As we are fast approaching the holiday time when joy and merriment are supposed to be with us all, it can sometimes become depressing to think of what is not joyful or merry in our life.

I remember one time I was telling Grandma how much I hate mornings. I don't like to hear people talking, I don't want to eat, I can't think straight and sometimes I am just in an all around grumpy mood. She looked at me and said "Your day is what you make it. If you wake up and choose to have a good morning and choose to be pleasant then you will have a good day and you will affect your children and your husband and the start of their day."

I think that applies to this holiday season as well. If we focus on what is lacking, or what is negative then it will impact our holiday season in a negative way. If however, we choose to focus on what is good, noble, positive, and the blessings we are given then we will greatly impact not only ourselves but those around us. Isn't this what Christ calls us to do? To share His hope and His light with others. Sometimes we do that simply by choosing hope and joy and peace in spite of what is going on around us.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach this could be a hard time for our family and friends. But, we choose to focus on the joy of our children. The love of our friends, the togetherness of even our craziest family members (and we all have them).

Grandma is looking forward this week to a visit from her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Leeann and her only grandson, BJ. What a precious gift that time will be.

Today, I choose to have a great day.

THE ELECTION RESULTS

A lot of believers are now disappointed and sad that the Lord did not answer their prayers regarding the election on November 4. Literally thousands prayed and fasted for this critical time in our history. Some are asking why the Lord would allow those in favor of the slaughter of little babies, and who favor abominations of the worse kind to be elected to run this great country?  I don’t know, but I do know the Lord causes everything to work together for our good. (Not necessarily for our comfort or financial gain. During times of depression in Israel, Habakkuk’s faith spoke:

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls —   Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.  The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, (steadfast) And He will make me walk on my high hills.”  (A place of victory and joy) (Hab. 3-16-17).

His testimony was:  Everything’s gonna be all right!  And so it will be for God’s people who love Him (Romans 8:28).

Please keep in mind that the Lord appoints every President we select so as to make them accountable to Him. Let’s obey the Lord and pray for Obama and respect him as our President.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves” (Rom 13:1-2). We are only to oppose our authorities if they demand we disobey our Lord.

NOTES OF INTEREST

My spiritual sons and daughters meet with me each January in San Destin, Florida to strategize about matters which concern Church Foundational Network. This year we will discuss how we can minister to discouraged brothers and sisters during these times of financial decline. The January meeting is a time of bonding, fellowship, praying for our nation. Each of these Ministers oversee other Ministers in the network.

Our entire Network family meets in the second week of June of each year. Next June, we meet in Carrollton, Georgia at Christ Fellowship Church, overseen by Marc Limbaugh.

Thirty ministers, including associate pastors and other leaders meet with me for breakfast and fellowship once each month at IHOP in Pensacola. This is an enjoyable time of chatting about what God is saying and praying for our city, Pensacola, Florida.  If any Church Leader in the metropolitan area of Pensacola desires to be a part of this meeting, greeting and eating meeting, let me know. You are welcome to attend. Our next meeting is Thursday, Nov 21st.

On October 8 and 15, I spoke twice for my spiritual son, Buford Lipscomb, Apostolic Father of Liberty Church in Pensacola on THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST and THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT. Buford and Jim Mather were ministering in Nepal, India and Britain during most of that time. I always am blessed to minister to the Church I founded in 1964 and led for 26 years.

I was with my spiritual son, Phil Schrock. at Corner Stone Church, Arthur, Illinois Oct. 17-20. I spoke for him twice on Oct 19. Phil and his wife Pattie founded the growing Church five years ago in the middle of Amish country. It is always a blessing to be with them and their three sons, two of which help in with the Church and the other is in college. They are a close family who truly love each other and the peace of God abides in their home.

On November 9, I preached for my long time spiritual son and special friend, Jack Hollis, in Marianna, Florida. It was interesting that I spoke on Romans 8:28, 29 which Jack had preached on the Sunday before. I had told him what I was ministering on, but he did not mention he has spoken on it on November 2. My sermon title was: EVERYTHINGS GONNA BE ALL RIGHT. Both messages fit the times and needs. I met with his leaders on Sunday night on the patio of Jack and Shellie’s home. They are a fun bunch and love Jack and Shellie deeply.  Jack should be named, Nathaniel. He is a man without guile.

By the way, I preached on Romans 8:28 while I was with Jack. He was aware of my sermon topic, but did not tell me until after the service that he had preached on the same Scripture the Sunday before. The title of my message was EVERYTHING’S GONNA BE ALL RIGHT.  Of course we did not deal with the same points, and the Church received the messages well. To read the gist of the message, see www.kensumrallministries.com

It was a joy to meet with Jack and Shellie and their Church leaders on Sunday night. They are a dedicated and fun bunch who sincerely love Jack and Shellie.

All of our sons and daughters and their families will meet at our oldest daughter, Beth Diamond’s home, for Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday Nov. 23. Beth is our oldest daughter. She lives directly across the street from Wanda and me. Marlene, our youngest daughter, lives five houses down the street and they are always available to us. Our two sons, John and Stanley, live near us in Pace, Florida.

We have met as an extended family on Thanksgiving for many years making it a favorite time for Wanda and me. We are expecting about thirty for the dinner.
